However, distinguishing between tumor recurrence and radiation injury remains critical, especially in malignant brain neoplasms. A multimodal approach that includes functional and metabolic imaging techniques can provide valuable diagnostic information, as described in a study on differentiation of post-radiosurgery effects [2].

Conclusions

Early detection of meningiomas through neuroimaging is fundamental to improving clinical outcomes. Despite the non-specific clinical changes that may delay diagnosis, the implementation of advanced neuroimaging techniques allows for more accurate and timely evaluation. The integration of structural, functional, and metabolic imaging methods into daily clinical practice can facilitate the early identification of meningiomas and enhance the neurological evaluation of patients, thereby optimizing their management and prognosis.
